Why The Name Windfarm
We chose the image of a wind turbine because it speaks to our alternative ideas and the fact that we believe in the power of simplicity. It alludes to our forward-thinking technology, and how we operate with reliable efficiency. We also aim to be an environmentally responsible company, incorporating recycling and biking to work whenever possible.

Managing Director Melissa Taylor
Working with Windfarm will put you in touch with Melissa, a seasoned professional in the digital marketing space. Windfarm's clients are grateful for her exceptional hospitality and her ability to offer (and bring to life) effective concepts & solutions. As a jack-of-all trades, she performs all of our clients' strategy and consulting, diligently builds the website code and analyzes the success of a site's performance all in a day. And she does this all with a big smile on her face while walking at her treadmill desk.
Prior to helping start Windfarm, Melissa worked at digital marketing agencies large & small (& even in-house) helping clients of all sizes create complex digital communication & development projects. She is most passionate working one-on-one with her clients to help them present their business in the most professional and strategic way possible. In those rare moments when she’s off-duty, Melissa enjoys being outdoors, biking & ethnic cooking.
Technical Advisor Joel Taylor
Windfarm is fortunate to have Joel Taylor available to advise on each clients' technical needs. As a seasoned web developer with over 12 years experience, Joel keeps his plate full running large eCommerce websites and custom applications most of his time. He serves as our senior technical advisor overseeing technical strategy and architecture, code quality & consulting with clients. Check out his personal page on the web.
Joel founded Windfarm in 2009 after an overflow of demand for individual web development & consulting work. He is well-versed in custom PHP programming and front-end development, along with customization of popular platforms such as Magento and Wordpress. In addition, his everyday experience exposes him to technologies that power a user's internet experience from hosting, data networks, social enterprise, online commerce, email marketing and more. When Joel's not hard at work on the web, he's playing rugby, waterskiing, visiting his home country of New Zealand or probably attempting a life-threatening activity for fun.
